VITS
(KE)

VITS is a DJ, producer, and curator based in Helsinki. Originally from Kibera one of Africa’s largest informal settlement communities.

His passion for music was shaped by the vibrant and energetic cultural life of his surroundings. Immersed in dance culture from an early age, he first found expression through hip hop, dancehall, and reggae before transitioning into DJing in 2013, initially focusing on electronic dance music (EDM).

After discovering Afro House, VITS expanded his musical identity to embrace a wide spectrum of sounds including Organic House, Tribal House, Afro Tech, Funky House, Melodic House, Progressive House, 3-Step, Gqom, and Amapiano. His sets are recognized for their dynamic energy, rhythmic depth, and strong cultural foundation, drawing inspiration from the African diaspora and global electronic music scenes.

VITS is also the co-founder of SONGEA Music, a platform encompassing the SONGEA record label, curated experiences, and community-driven events dedicated to connecting contemporary African and global electronic sounds.
