TOBY
ONE

Toby One is a Helsinki-based DJ, producer and drummer with two decades of experience behind the decks, and the Artist & Marketing Manager of SONGEA. His journey started as a teenager, when he discovered hip hop culture. From there he immersed himself in a wide range of club music — Deep House, Dubstep, Grime, Dub Techno and Techno.

Over the past few years he has been drawn to South African electronic music. With a background as a drummer and percussionist, he focuses on the groove and on the impact of hard-hitting percussion in his sets, often blending several genres into a musical journey that moves through a range of emotional states.

He hosts SUNTANSSIT, a monthly sober Sunday dance rave in Helsinki at the cozy Magito venue. With SUNTANSSIT, Toby One offers an alternative to traditional late-night clubbing — holding space and building a culture where people can freely express themselves and enjoy life through music, movement and dance.

Performing on the main stage at Natural High Healing Festival in July 2026 for over 1000 people was one of the highlights of his career. It was his second appearance at the biggest wellness festival in the Nordics, securing his position on the scene as a well-acclaimed DJ and performer. In February 2026 he headlined the Yoga Festival by Night party, a well-renowned event in Helsinki.

As a DJ, Toby One is always fully connected to the music, bringing 100% to every performance. He has a deep understanding of electronic music and its nuances, and his passion for exploring and playing new music never fades.

He has been making music for many years for his own enjoyment, and is now taking the next step as a producer, working on his debut Afro Tech single for SONGEA. His recent productions draw heavily on South African music, blended with elements of dub techno and deep house — his extensive musical experience, knowledge and taste shaping a signature sound of his own.
