Hailing from Westonaria, a small mining town on Johannesburg’s West Rand, Ta Mish (SA) has carved a niche for himself as a dynamic DJ across Afro House, Afro Tech, progressive house, melodic house and the wider electronic spectrum.
His journey into music began in the early 2000s, inspired by shows like Oskido’s Church Grooves on YFM. It started with a humble collection of cassettes, and over time grew into CDs and beyond.
After high school he went deeper, learning music production with a focus on house. That dedication paid off in 2015, when he won a bursary to study music production and audio engineering at Boston City College under the Soul Candi Institute of Music. By early 2016 he had made his debut with a two-track EP on Juvenale Dee Records.
He co-founded the annual event Deep In The Village in his home village of Madibogo in the North West, which has hosted artists including LTK from Motsweding FM, Mawhoo and Leemckrazy. In February 2026 he launched a new show, MUSIC&YOU.
On air, he has featured on AlexFM, Ratlou FM, UJFM, YFM and Motsweding FM, and held a residency on the UK online station We Get Lifted Radio.
What sets Ta Mish (SA) apart is not just his musical skill, but his humility and the spiritual connection he has with his craft — qualities that have put him on the decks alongside names such as Black Motion, Jnr (SA), Daliwonga, Reuxen and Mawhoo.
